Location: Recreation departments in CBRM, Inverness County and Richmond County and Physical Activity Department in Victoria County

Intern:

Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

Updating of files on the Cape Breton Connect database Assist and support recreation partners to manage electronic files on the database Ensure that all files on Cape Breton Connect have the same design Other technology responsibilities as determined by the individual recreation departments

Coordinator:

Duties and responsibilities as above, plus the additional responsibilities:

Supervise interns participating in this project to ensure terms of employment and workloads are being met. Provide weekly updates to CB Connect Partnership about progress of work. Ensure proper reporting of hours for interns hired under the program. Participate in quarterly meetings with Community Technology Network of Nova Scotia (CTNet) to ensure terms of the project are being fulfilled. Verbal and written reports to CTNet’s Executive Director as required.

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary or community college education. (It is not necessary to have completed any degree or diploma, and do not have to be currently enrolled) Ability to work independently with little supervision. Between the ages of 15 and 30 Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communications skills If hired, successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal record check and a Child Abuse Registry Check as well

Salary:

$17.00 per hour (Coordinator)

$15.00 per hour (Interns)

Duration: Anticipated start date: Monday, January 9, 2017

End date: Friday, March 31, 2017
