Federal Government’s (ESDC) Enabling Accessibility Fund

The mid-sized projects stream is currently open – deadline to apply is May 24/18.

The funding is to support new construction, renovation, and retrofit projects of accessible facilities in Canadian communities. The facilities must plan to offer programs and services that focus on a holistic approach in addressing the social and/or labour market integration needs of people with disabilities.

Eligible applicants:

  • Not for profit organizations
  • Municipalities
  • Indigenous organizations (including band councils, tribal councils and self-government entities)
  • Territorial governments (not provincial)

Funding requests must be between $350,000- $1,000,000. A min. of 35% of eligible project costs must be provided by other funding sources – a strategy to meet this requirement must be included in the application.
