Hike NS’s schedule of courses and workshops across Nova Scotia is now available for 2017-18. Beginning June 2017 through to February 2018, they range from how to share nature with children to how to be a hike leader to navigation
The specific offerings include:Re-Connecting with Nature Workshops; Field Leader – Hiking Courses; Field Leader – Winter Module; Field Leader – Overnight Module; Navigation Maps & Compass Courses; and WILD Connect Course. Dates, locations and costs vary, depending upon the course or workshop

HELD – WILD Connect Leadership Course
May 27-29, Truro
The WILD Connect Leadership Course will be held from May 27 to 29 at Gittens Lodge in Truro. Attendees participate in experiential outdoor activities and become certified in Canadian Wildlife Federation Project WILD and in Outdoor Council of Canada (OCC) Field Leader (Hiking). Suitable for school teachers and non-formal youth educators, the cost is $125. It is offered through Hike NS in partnership with the NS Chapter of the OCC and supported by the NS Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage. http://tiny.cc/x5cyay
