Thanks again Dawn and when I (Vince Forrestall, Strategy Coordinator) was leading a workplace wellness walk today an older gentlemen stopped me on Grant St – “Complimented Everyone on the efforts of the Baddeck Community Clean-up May 23rd and said keep up the great work”. I gave credit to those involved you – Dawn MacKinnon Organizer; Baddeck Tim Horton’s, East Coast Credit Union, BABTA, Victoria County, Sponsors, Prize sponsors, Naturally Active for Life Victoria County, Clean NS, etc.” That was a nice compliment to be stopped, well appreciated and hats off to everyone involved including yourself (May 26, 2015)

Baddeck Community Clean-Up 2015 A SUCCESS
Mother Nature pulled through with a beautiful sunny day for the Baddeck Community Clean-Up on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015. The Baddeck Community Clean-Up would not have been a success without the team effort of our volunteers & sponsors. Thank you so much!
A special thank you to those 33 dedicated volunteers who did a wonderful job of collecting 9 blue bags and 26 clear bags giving us a total count of 35 bags. It was greatly appreciated sacrificing your Saturday morning to help clean up the village of Baddeck.
We also want to thank Dick Grubb, for allowing us to use the Visitor Information Centre; the East Coast Credit Union barbequing team; Cathi MacKenzie, for collecting the prize donations; Arno Martin and Timmy MacDonald of Morgan’s Brook Landscaping for picking up and transporting the bags to the Baddeck Landfill; and to Errol and Holly MacInnis’ little helpers; Jack and Catherine, who helped to supply the hot chocolate, t-shirts and timbits!
