No trail permit is required except on private land and thus far the private land owners have been cooperative. We still advise getting an Atvans trail permit because some of our trails are on DNR property and on I class roads. Enforcement typically do both you if you have your machines license, insured, and have a trail permit. You can get a trail permit by mail by visiting http://www.atvans.org and click the join button. They mail the person the trail permit. Also Hartie Thurber (Local) has trail permits on hand. 902.295.1944
