The Wellness Walkers-Fitness Room at Rankin School 2017-18
The Wellness Walkers Program and New in 2018 an Adult Strength & Toning Winter Fit Class – at Rankin School of the Narrows, Monday evenings, started, Jan.22nd. Time: 7-8 pm. Instructor: Theresa MacLean PTS, FIS. Wear comfortable shoes for indoor use. Use of the fitness equipment is for age 14 and up. Walking is for age 7 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Walking takes place in the gym. The Fit Class is designed for a full body workout of strengthening exercises that will make the body stronger and leaner, using hand weights, cardio and stretching. Bring a yoga mat, hand weights and water. If school is cancelled at Rankin School of the Narrows class will be cancelled for that evening.

Thank You: Councillors Perla MacLeod, Merrill MacInnis and Bruce Morrison, via municipal district budgets, have agreed to share the operational cost of the gym for the month of April 2018 (Ending April 30th) – 28 drop-ins participated during the extension period April 3 – 11, 2018.

CBVRSB, Baddeck Academy, Naturally Active for Life Victoria County, NS Dept Communities, Culture & Heritage and NS Thrive will be offering our 5th straight year for the community wellness room in Baddeck for participants ages 16 & up, male & female – FREE access.
Please enter the door just outside the small fitness room at the school. Please do not use the main door of the school. You can drive to the door for convenience if you wish, go into the CBVRSB Garage area, up behind the cafeteria, past the playground equipment and to the front to the door. This allows better access. Facility Leader of the Program Cecil Kerr with let you in. Cecil is usually stationed in the main lobby, just outside th community wellness room.
