Through the collaboration between Sport Nova Scotia, Support4Sport, Province of Nova Scotia, Sport Canada and Manulife, Sport Fund looks to increase sustainable quality sport programs in Nova Scotia.
As you may be aware, over the past few months our Sport Nova Scotia Community Sport Grants have undergone some changes, the biggest being a move from a central, provincial application to a regional model, where the initiatives funded in our region are now determined by a local committee.
In addition to the formation of regional allocation committees, we have expanded our areas of funding and broadened our criteria for eligible groups. Sport Fund will now be open to the following applicants:
– Local sport clubs and community sport organizations who are members in good standing of a Provincial Sport Organization (PSO).
– Community sport organizations incorporated as a “not for profit” society under the Societies Act of Nova Scotia.
– Municipalities/communities (including villages and first nation communities) and community sport stakeholders (facilities).
We are happy to announce that applications are now being accepted for our next round of funding.
As there have been a number of changes to this funding program, including an updated application form, prior to requesting an application we ask all applicants to please read our application guidelines.
To access the application, please contact me no later than October 12th, 2017 at 4:00pm to discuss your initiative. The next application deadline is October 15th, 2017.
As always, we would like to thank our partners: Support4Sport, Province of Nova Scotia, Sport Canada and Manulife.
