The Shared Strategy for Advancing Recreation in Nova Scotia identifies Connecting People with Nature as a key goal of the provincial plan. In order to help achieve this goal, there is a critical need to increase the capacity of adult leaders in Nova Scotia who can help children and youth to spend more time appreciating, understanding and caring for the natural world while being physically active in the outdoors. We are currently looking for leaders who would like to become instructors to deliver this workshop over the next few years on a periodic basis through Hike NS. Attached is the application outlining the Train the Trainer Leadership training opportunity hosted by Hike NS, May 13th-15th 2016
The goal is to ensure that we have capacity through-out the province to deliver this workshop.
